The project “Stages of Learning” concerned the role and possibilities of performing arts in adult learning. It started with a kick off meeting in November 2007 in Helsinki, Finland. The project involved six partners from EU countries - Austria, Finland, Germany, Poland, Turkey and United Kingdom.

The main aims of the project were:

1. To explore ways to motivate people to participate in performing arts;

2. To develop the skills of tutors to deliver training in performing arts by exchanging ideas about learning and teaching techniques for use also in “normal” teaching environments.

In the project we combined these two aspects and developed a handbook of good practice which can be very useful for managers, tutors and actors who work in performing arts and in related fields. The book presents the best practices and successful approaches of each partner organisation and is available at the Frauencomputerschule.
